Andre Roussimoff was a normal guy who’d been dealt an extraordinary hand in life. At his peak, he weighed 600 pounds and stood nearly seven and a half feet tall. His size made him an international celebrity, but it was his dogged hard work and uncomplicated humanity that made him great: today he is still well-known as both the lovable giant in The Princess Bride and the tireless celebrity athlete who dominated the professional wrestling industry for a decade. I shot this short promotional piece for cartoonist Box Brown at Big Planet Comics in Washington, DC.
